Mani Monday: China Glaze Bat My Eyes (2013 Halloween Collection)
On this Mani Monday (which is turning out to be a MANIC monday in every other way possible, but that’s another story all together), I’m currently wearing China Glaze “Bat My Eyes” from the 2013 Halloween Collection. I’m a little late on the uptake on this one – I didn’t actually buy this one when the 2013 collection was out – I only picked this one up last week at Ulta. They must have found a few strays in the back from last years collection and put them out on HEAVY discount (I only paid $0.97 for this!).
That said, I’m not sure why I passed this one up the first time around – it’s a lovely fall glitter polish. With different sized and shaped (and hued) colors of gold and copper glitter in a black base, this seriously screams October to me.
The formula was a little thick, but it only took two coats to make it opaque and it did dry quickly, so that made up for the slight goopiness of the application. I also did not realize until I was applying it that it also contained bar glitter – so that’s a slight downer. I really am not a bar glitter fan. No matter how hard I try I always seem to end up with glitter hanging off the nail or a wrinkle in a bar somewhere. But there’s not too much of it, so it wasn’t too much of a problem, and the bar glitter does add some depth to the color with flashes of copper.
Overall rating: 7/10.

I typically shy away from glitter colors, but I really like this one. It’s a great october color.
