Cleaning Up My Pinterest
So I’ve been a powerhouse of productivity today. I finished my ENTIRE work to-do list for the next two days, AND I got two long review posts that I’ve been working on for weeks finally finalized to a point I’m happy with (be on the lookout for them the next two Wednesdays!).
Super awesome, right? This is seriously the first time since the very beginning of the semester that I’ve had some free time to do misc. blog stuff. So I’ve been cleaning up some planned posts, and then I decided to finally tackle something that’s been on my blog to-do list forEVER: cleaning up my Pinterest account.
I’ve had a Pinterest since just about the very beginning – I hopped on the beta tester bus about two months in. And so I’ve been happily pinning away (on and off, admittedly) since before general standards and unspoken rules for pinning were developed. And my boards are a MESS. I rarely wrote my own captions, I rarely checked that the pins did indeed go where they said they would, and sometimes I didn’t even pay enough attention to where my pins were going.
So I’ve been meaning to go through and fix, edit, and streamline all my boards and pins for a while now. And honestly? It’s as tedious as I thought it would be. Oh. My. God.
But hopefully at the end of it, I’ll have a much more consistently organized and captioned Pinterest account to show for it.
Hopefully.
How do you organize your Pinterest boards? Any tips or tricks that you think would make for a better pin-viewing experience? If so, share in the comments!

i have been wanting to this for so long as well but i have over 10,000 pins! that would take forever! but at the end i bet it would be amazing to have it all organized and have all the pins be captioned properly (i NEVER change them)
kudos to you! maybe when you have finished you can write a post of how amazing it feels and that will encourage me to do it! haha

Ugh- this seems so daunting! It’s something I keep starting…. and then never finishing. I feel like I have so many pins that I can’t even get to the end anymore! What makes it even worse is that I fix a little…. and then a aimlessly pin more. I still don’t even check where my pins are going, how bad is that ? It’s probably something I shouldn’t even admit as a blogger!
